Ben Woollard

Ben Woollard is a writer, copyeditor, and proofreader. As an academic copyeditor, he has worked for publishers such as Brandeis University Press, Eerdmans, B&H Academic, Wesleyan University Press, and others. He has also edited for a wide variety of clients on an individual basis and as a contractor for services such as Scribbr and Cambridge Proofreading, and he holds a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing. As a writer, his work has been featured in JSTOR Daily, Literary Hub, Comment, the Revealer, and elsewhere. He writes a regular Substack at https://asilkentent.substack.com/.
He grew up in southern Oregon and lived in Hawaii for a number of years before returning to his hometown to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He then went on to study at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, focusing on philosophy, Christian metaphysics and theology, and Ancient Greek, earning an MA in theology and ethics. He currently lives in Chico with his wife, two daughters, and wonderfully neurotic dog, Pearadox.
